The Heart Of Racing Team has announced their plans for the upcoming 2022 IMSA season, which will see the team enter two cars in the GTD class. Roman will be racing in the #27 GTD car with Maxime Martin joining him for sprint cup races and Tom Gambe, Darren Turner, and Ian James teaming up with him for the 24 Hours of Daytona at the end of January.Roman's teammate from 2021, Ross Gunn, with whom he won the IMSA Sprint Cup Championship and finished 3rd overall in the final standings, will be racing in the GTD Pro Class in the Heart Of Racing #23 car.Both Heart of Racing cars will be in action soon, so be sure to mark your calendars as the IMSA season kicks back into gear on January 21st at the 2022 Roar Before The Rolex 24.
Roman De Angelis is a multi-time champion racing driver from Windsor, Ontario Canada. In 2024 he's piloting the #23 Heart of Racing / Aston Martin Racing, Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship GTD division.
