The HEart Of Racing

Long Beach, CA – Sept 27

This past weekend Roman and the Heart of Racing team were back in California for a race around the Long Beach track at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. After a tough weekend at the last race, the team was pushing for another top finish. After qualifying in P8, the team worked late into the evening to prepare the car for a strong showing on Sunday. In the end, the team was able to grab some points from the weekend by pulling out a P6 finish allowing them to retain their lead in the Sprint Cup by 74 points on their closest competitor.

It wasn’t the race result they were hoping for, but the team worked well together, according to Roman, and these challenging weekends will help them focus on where they can improve to get back on the podium. As they are nearing the end of the 2021 race season Roman, his racing partner Ross Gunn and the Heart of Racing team are looking forward to the final two races of the season and completing their race for the Sprint Cup championship. Roman and the team are next in action on October 8th at the Michelin GT Challenge at VIRginia International Raceway.
