Roman was in action this past weekend at the Roar Before The Rolex 24 with the Heart of Racing team to kick off the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech season. This event was the first time Roman and his teammates Tom Gambe, Darren Turner, and Ian James had a chance to drive in the new #27 car for the Heart of Racing Team.The qualifying session for next weeks Rolex 24 at Daytona did not go as the team had hoped as a mechanical failure at the start caused the team to start the session in 17th place, and a later incident forced the car into retirement. Although the session ended in disappointment, there were some positive takeaways as the car got up to 7th position in the first few laps before being pushed off the track.Roman shared that he remains optimistic for next weeks race as a lot can happen in a 24-hour endurance race, and there will be plenty of opportunities to move up through the field.
