Unfortunately, De Angelis's weekend in Belgium did not go as planned at the 24 Hours of Spa. The #97 Beechdean AMR Vantage was involved in a race-ending incident 3 hours into the race before De Angelis could get a chance to get in the driver's seat. After switching from the Gold Cup Class to Silver Cup Class a week prior because of a scheduling conflict with Team Principal and driver Andrew Howard, the #97 car qualified 13th in class and 43rd overall. Although not as high as they had hoped, the team was optimistic heading into the race and eager to make up positions. David Pittard started the race and moved up to 10th in class after his double stint before Theo Nouet was fired off the track into the tyre barrier in the third hour.De Angelis is back with The Heart of Racing this weekend, racing at Road America in the IMSA Fastlane SportsCar Weekend.
