It was the perfect homecoming for Roman De Angelis at Mosport this past weekend at the Chevrolet Grand Prix. De Angelis, Maxime Martin, and The Heart of Racing team continued their hot streak and were back on the top step of the podium for the second weekend in a row.The #27 car started in the second position and immediately grabbed the lead after a turn-one incident left the No. 12 Lexus needing significant repairs in the pits. De Angelis and Martin were able to capitalize on this opening and hold off the No. 57 Mercedes-AMG over the race's final hour for a .500s margin of victory. The win is the second in as many weeks for De Angelis, who was back at CTMP for the first time in two years to race in front of his home fans. This positive turnaround in the Heart of Racing Team's season has helped them claw back up the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship and Sprint Cup standings going into the later part of the 2022 season.De Angelis and The Heart of Racing team will be back in action at Lime Rock Park from July 15th to 16th for the FCP Euro Northeast Grand Prix.
