A Strong Team Effort At Mid-Ohio

May 16, 2022

Lexington, OH

Although the 2022 season has not been off to the smooth start Roman and his Heart of Racing team were hoping for, the team is back to showing strength and consistency on the track. The #27 car piloted by Roman and Maxime Martin had a solid start to the weekend in qualifying. Preparing to start the race in P3 after the penalty incident at Laguna in their last race was what they wanted to see. The drivers and their Aston Martin Vantage GT3 gave it all they had throughout the race, but after just shy of 1.5hrs they ended up in 8th position. Unfortunately, this weekend has thrown them another curveball when the car needed to pit with 1 lap to go due to fuel, but Roman remained optimistic as he shared his feelings in the post-race summary."Strong weekend and start to the race for us before having to pit from the top 5 with 1 lap to go due to no fuel left. Thanks for the hard work from the team." - De AngelisRoman is looking forward to the next race, at Detroit Grand Prix, as a chance to get back on the podium. Last year, he took the top spot in this race, and overall it has a lot of meaning to him personally.Keep up with all the action and news with Roman and The Heart of Racing's #27 car by following Roman on social media.
