Roman De Angelis was back racing in his home country of Canada this past weekend at the IMSA WeatherTech Chevrolet Grand Prix held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario. It was a great start to the weekend for the team, with a first-in-class start in Saturday's qualifying session. In six laps, the team put in a time of 01:15.478, good enough for first in the GTD class and right behind the sister #23 car driven by Alex Riberas and Ross Gunn.Unfortunately, the race wasn't the homecoming Roman was hoping for, as the team had to settle for a fourth-place finish, narrowly missing out on the podium. Although not the finish the team was hoping for, De Angelis and Sorensen still sit in second place in both the Sprint Cup and Overall Championship GTD standings.De Angelis and The Heart of Racing team will look to get back on the podium in two weeks when they head to Lime Rock Park in Salisbury, Connecticut for the Northeast Grand Prix.
