The IMSA GTD and GTDPro class cars were on display at Virginia International Raceway this weekend for the Michelin GT Challenge at VIR. Heading into the race, De Angelis and teammate Marco Sorensen were looking to gain ground on the championship leaders with only three races remaining on the schedule.Saturday qualifying around the 3.270-mile track saw De Angelis and Sorensen put the car into 6th position on the grid for Sunday's race after a lap time of 01:45.918.Unfortunately, the race did not go their way, and after 2 hours and 40 minutes of racing, the #27 Heart of Racing crossed the finish line in 12th position.Although the result differs from what the team had hoped going into the weekend, there is still hope to catch the GTD Championship leaders with two remaining races. De Angelis and the team will look to rebound with a strong result in a couple of weeks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
