Roman De Angelis, Marco Sorensen, and Ian James were back in action in the #27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage this past weekend for the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen. The 3.4-mile, eleven-corner track is the year's third endurance race on the IMSA calendar.De Angelis and the team struggled to find pace in the weekend's two practice sessions on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, running near the back of their class. In Saturday's qualifying session, the team improved the car enough to put together a lap good enough for a fifth-place start in the GTD class.Sunday's race was filled with lots of action and numerous full-course yellows from multiple incidents. Unfortunately, the #27 car couldn't capitalize on the action and ultimately crossed the finish line in 6th position. De Angelis and Sorensen now sit third in the IMSA Championship standings but are still in striking distance of the top.Next up for Roman will be a home race at the Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, July 7th to 9th in Bowmanville, ON. Roman will look to rebound from this past weekend with a strong result in front of his home fans and reclaim the championship lead.
